How this site treats your data

I use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed (including navigation within the site) and a few interactions — résumé downloads, booking clicks, and clicks on the contact links. Google Analytics sets its _ga cookies to tell returning visitors apart. This tells me what people find useful; it doesn't tell me who you are.

When someone downloads my résumé PDF, the server records the download and reports it to Google Analytics — matched to the visitor's Google Analytics cookies when they exist, and anonymously otherwise. Requests that look like automated crawlers aren't counted.

The booking button on the contact page is Google Calendar's scheduling widget. Opening it loads Google's scripts and booking interface, and Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

There's a login on this site, but it's mine — visitors can't create accounts. Its machinery sets a small security-token cookie in every browser, and a session cookie only when I actually log in. Both are functional; neither tracks you.

If you write to hello@bkuberek.com, I use your message and address to reply and correspond — nothing else. No mailing lists, no sharing. If you'd rather I delete a past exchange, ask and I will.

No ads. No selling or sharing of personal data. The site itself does no cross-site tracking.

Content blockers and Google's Analytics opt-out add-on work fine here — the site is fully functional with analytics blocked. Clearing your cookies resets any identifiers.

Analytics data lives in Google Analytics and is kept for its configured retention period; this site keeps no database of visitors of its own. The site's host (Vercel) processes requests to serve pages, as any web host does.
